Major fashion retailer in a Manchester shopping centre.

The Work

We were called out on a Saturday afternoon as there was a burning smell and loud banging noise coming from the plant room of the retailer. Our engineer attended within the hour and diagnosed the cause. Following a discussion with the shopping centre and the retailer the decision was made to isolate the power and make safe due to the level of risk to public. We carried out an emergency repair. This enabled the retailer to carry on trading safely that afternoon. We then performed further investigation when the shop was closed. We replaced the damaged components and completed the full repair without impacting the retailers' ability to trade or the shopping centre to open the following morning.
